Development, design, and prototype support for carbon heating furnaces exceeding 2,000℃.

We provide development and design technology for heating furnaces and heating systems with 30 years of experience in drawing furnaces and vitrification furnaces for optical fibers.

I was a member of the Corporate Production Technology Department at Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. for 26 years, serving as the head of the Production Technology Development Center for five years. My main responsibilities included the development of optical fibers and the introduction of equipment into mass production lines, and the equipment I introduced is still actively in use today. From the late 1980s, when I was in charge, until the collapse of the telecommunications bubble, the drawing speed of fibers increased every year, and the diameter of preforms also grew larger. At that time, the purchased drawing furnace frequently experienced water leaks, which led us to develop our own drawing furnace. Since there was no design technology for furnaces within the company, we requested a furnace manufacturer we were associated with to design and manufacture the heating furnace. However, water leaks occurred within a few months. Even when the power to the heating furnace was turned off, the inside of the furnace was still glowing brightly, and I, being on-site, felt quite uneasy. Therefore, I decided to design the heating furnace myself. I incorporated knowledge from the development of vacuum deposition equipment for the pressure resistance, airtightness, and leak testing specifications, and I reviewed the welding structure in consultation with the manufacturer. Additionally, I re-evaluated the system and included it in the specifications. At that time, I was too busy to compile everything into systematic documentation. So, after becoming independent, I organized my knowledge as design technology for the carbon heater heating system.

Small multi-layer extrusion test device

We have newly installed a multi-layer extruder in our "Custom Made System," which supports the development and contract processing of customer-specific films, serving as the core of our small test equipment!

The "Custom Made System" supports film development and contract processing tailored to customer specifications, from planning and development to mass production. We have newly installed a multilayer extruder on our small-scale test machine line, which has an effective width of approximately 200mm, capable of handling 2 to 3 layers up to 5 layers. Until now, the development of multilayer films and laminates could only be verified on actual mass production lines during the initial consideration phase, but we expect that the possibilities for new development will greatly expand in the future. *The conventional single-layer extrusion test equipment can still be used as before. Please make use of our "Custom Made System" for the development of high-functionality and high-value-added new films.

Support for prototype water-repellent film coating using a spray coater device.

We propose a particle layering method (spray coating method) that enables uniform ultra-thin film application to devices where large-area and thin film coating is difficult.

We provide support for the application of ultra-thin water-repellent coatings on large substrates and complex textured substrates, as well as proposals for spray coaters. We assist in prototype development from small area trials to large area film formation, focusing on mass production coating. If you are facing issues with thin film coating processes for textured or three-dimensional shapes, please feel free to consult us. We engage in daily development support activities as your "Rental Prototype Division." In the fields of precision coating and MEMS, we collaborate with organizations such as the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Tsukuba, Yokohama National University, and Shinshu University, providing extensive prototype support to research institutions and private companies.
